Five endangered languages revive

In the begining, it was said that only one language had enabled people to communicate, then after, they multiplied … But all this linguistic diversity is vanishing, and among the six thousand languages of the world a great number are disappearing, this phenomenon increasing from one year to another. Marie-Hélène Bernard revives some of them thanks to this sound installation. In the darkness of one of the Archeological Museum’s room, five red lights spot the regions where the people speaking those five endangered languages live.
