Sacred and secular songs of the Mediterranean

Anass Habib was born in Morocco. He lived in Syria for two years, where he studied medieval and pre-medieval songs with the great masters of Damas and Alep. His voice is considered as one of the most beautiful Arabic voices, with his ability of going from the deep and warm low tones in the bariton range all the way to the high tenor voice to express emotions and devotion. His repertories go through a lot of countries and civilisations. From soufi poems to maronite melodies and medieval sephardic Andalusian songs in Arabic, Aramaic and ancient Greek.
